Every Place in Việt Nam Gets a Number: Nghị định 326/2026/NĐ-CP Takes Effect

From 1 September 2026, land parcels, buildings, and 71 categories of physical objects receive a permanent 12-digit location ID in a new national database run under the Bộ Công an — visible on VNeID, and designed to outlive the next round of address changes.
